I started blogging in late 2007, so I didn’t compile a “Year in Review” post. I’ve broken the post into two main categories: Blogging and Life. The Blogging section will detail some of the statistics collected over 2008. The Life section will include a bit more about what I’ve done over the last 12 months.

The Orc King: Transitions, Book 1 (Book Review)

I’ve read a lot of R.A. Salvatore books and I mean a lot. About 3 or 4 years ago, I figured that as a fantasy/sci-fi buff, I should start reading some of the most famous and most read D&D novels of all time: [amazon_link id=”0786947772″]The Dark Elf Triology (The Legend of Drizzt, Books 1-3[/amazon_link].

Those weren’t the first R.A. Salvatore book that I had read, just a few months earlier I finished his Star Wars novel called [amazon_link id=”0345428455″]Vector Prime[/amazon_link] which started the New Jedi Order series. Unfortunately, each of the NJO books took on a different author and after reading a couple, I felt that it just wasn’t very fun or entertaining to read. But after reading Vector Prime, I decided that as a D&D geek that I needed to finally take the plunge and read the series.

The data was taken from the San Diego County Registrar of Voter’s office and converted/analyzed to produce the reports.

The term “community” is used to describe a place within the City of San Diego boundary. The term “unincorporated” means that the place is not a city (corporated). Unincorporated areas include many towns and villages.

First, each of the San Diego County cities are listed with their vote totals. Next, the City of San Diego vote total is broken down into each community. Finally, the “Unincorporated Areas” (which is listed as a total under cities) is broken down into towns and villages.

Contest Overview

In California, Proposition 12 passed statewide with Yes 63.60% and No 36.40%. In San Diego County, Proposition 12 received Yes 60.12% and No 39.88% votes.
